VIVA NY - - Voting Integrity and Verification Act of New York - A5934A (Cunningham) / S6169A (Cordell Cleare) - NY legislative session ends June 9th.

Simple bill that requires hand-marked paper ballots and nontabulating ballot-marking devices in all polling places.
Preserves the current system of voting currently in use in NY state
Bans votes from being encoded in barcodes.
Bill with similar content has passed the NY Senate twice
We have heard that the bill is being blocked by a lobbyist for a voting machine vendor.
