Stolen Elections: An Open Letter to MeidasTouch and the Media

"Here’s the part that no one wants to discuss—but it’s necessary if we’re serious about ending this fascist takeover: we have to destigmatize the conversation about stolen elections….for decades, Democrats have effectively imposed a moratorium on confronting the GOP’s blatant election theft—and now, the U.S. and the world are in peril because of it"

U.S. election equipment companies have been owned by far-right interests since their inception. Why are we okay with that?

MAR 28, 2026

Here’s the part that no one wants to discuss—but it’s necessary if we’re serious about ending this fascist takeover: we have to destigmatize the conversation about stolen elections.

There’s a reason Democrats’ approval rating has bottomed out at 18%—this is what happens when voters perceive weakness in moments that demand courage. As of July 2025, over 41% of the base believes the 2024 election was stolen, yet legislators remain silent on the issue.

This is a significant contributor to that 18% approval rating. For the sake of democracy and the American people, please continue reading.

The stolen election storyline is as old as the country itself—don’t believe us? Read about the 1888 election. In fact, before the Supreme Court began intervening in cases like Guinn v. United States in 1915, racial discrimination, election interference, and voter suppression were widespread—and both parties participated.

Even our own beloved Lyndon B. Johnson stole his Senate seat.¹ So let’s be clear: this country’s dirty little election secret isn’t historically Republican-specific.

But for decades, Democrats have effectively imposed a moratorium on confronting the GOP’s blatant election theft—and now, the U.S. and the world are in peril because of it.

As Jennifer Welch said, liberals collaborate with fascists “to keep a corrupt economic system intact” while “protecting private equity.” How? By passing corporation-aligned legislation, but also by refusing to challenge stolen elections.

This is where We the People need the media (you) to develop “moral clarity.”

Election equipment companies and certification vendors have been owned by far-right interests since the inception of electronic voting.² And the Election Assistance Commission was sued in 2021 for collaborating with them to make our election systems more vulnerable.³

Some Democrats Are In On It

Many Democrats belong to what we now describe as the “Epstein class,” or predator class—and if you need proof, 48 Democrats in the House⁴ and 12 in the Senate⁵ voted to pass the Laken Riley Act.

The elimination of due process and the rise of Trump’s obscenely funded terror squad came to fruition because 60 Democrats approved of it.

And it’s not like they weren’t aware of what Trump planned to do with his personal henchmen—multiple high-ranking members of the military warned us of his authoritarian tendencies.

Trump: “Who We Allowed To Win”

Members of Congress are aware the GOP controls election outcomes; they deliver on specific legislation and confirm Trump’s nominees to ensure they keep their seats.

Trump’s own words on James Talarico:
“…[he] was wearing a mask in 2023 and 2024, and is a weak, ineffective guy who we ‘allowed’ to win prior to releasing the avalanche of information we had on him…”

Yet another instance of Trump bragging he controls election outcomes, and once again, no one addressed it.

Opinion: the 2026 Texas primary election was a GOP-orchestrated nightmare designed to ensure Rep. Jasmine Crockett would lose.

From summer 2025 gerrymandering that effectively pushed Crockett out of her district⁶—redrawing maps and shifting polling locations—to last-minute Dallas County GOP changes separating Democrats and Republicans at polling locations and requiring different, party-specific voting equipment, it all culminated in orchestrated chaos.⁷

Dallas County never updated its website to reflect the new districts. Voters who were used to casting ballots at any location were suddenly required to go to a specific polling site—an incorrectly listed polling site, if they could access the website at all, as it repeatedly crashed throughout the day.⁸

Local news showed voters being turned away after visiting three or four locations. Dallas County Commissioner Andy Sommerman said the county election navigators reported 60% of people who showed up to vote at Northway Christian Church were turned away because they were at the wrong polling place. At Royal Lane Baptist Church it was 50%. The numbers were similar at Fretz Park Library, he said.⁹

And it’s now estimated that over 12,000 voters in Dallas County—Rep. Jasmine Crockett’s home turf—went to the wrong polling location on Election Day.¹⁰

But there’s more to this story.

Because once again, ES&S equipment reportedly “glitched.” So far, Newton County is the only one to acknowledge they had an issue, reporting zero votes for Democratic candidates in at least five races due to a supposed “ballot coding error.”¹¹

The ES&S claim that the glitch was caused by “faulty ballots,” not the equipment, doesn’t hold water for one simple reason: the same glitch should have appeared during pre-election accuracy testing.

It didn’t.

For the media, this should raise a simple question: how many Texas counties experienced equipment “glitches” and chose not to report them?

Are any investigative journalists looking into this? Besides us, of course.

Speaking of “glitches,” in 2016, 59% of precincts in Detroit’s Black and Brown neighborhoods experienced equipment failures—and Hillary Clinton left 75,000 votes on the table.¹²

In 2024, swing states reported widespread “glitches.” We’ve written about Pennsylvania and Wisconsin ad nauseam.

How much longer will we tolerate electronic voting equipment owned by far-right interests—and “glitches” that seem to affect only Democrats?

More importantly, why haven’t Democrats spent the past 26 years fighting on the floor of Congress to change this blatantly partisan election system?

Controlled opposition.

Russia, Russia, Russia, was Real, Real, Real

In 2016, Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) warned that Russia would interfere in the presidential election.¹³ He was dismissed as partisan and even paranoid.

Afterward, Reid courageously called for FBI Director James Comey’s resignation, accusing him of using “partisan actions” to interfere. He alleged that Comey concealed evidence of Trump–Russia ties while reviving the Clinton email investigation and that FBI leadership withheld information about Russian interference—in violation of the Hatch Act.¹⁴

Then, the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence confirmed Russian interference in 2017. Now, in 2026, Jim Himes (D-CT), who sits on two intelligence committees, told Brian Tyler Cohen:

“Russia interfered in our elections on behalf of Donald Trump three times, twice successfully.”

“Three times, twice successfully.”

Just as QAnon and MAGA were right about a cabal of wealthy pedophiles influencing government, they were right about the 2020 election being “rigged.”

What Trump and the bad actors didn’t account for was the COVID pandemic and the surge in mail-in ballots, which ultimately secured Joe Biden’s victory.

That’s why Donald Trump can’t let 2020 go. Like 2016, he knew it was rigged for him to win—and, like any malignant narcissist, he cannot accept losing or believe President Biden defeated him without cheating.

We need to change the narrative:

Yes, 2020 was rigged—for Trump. But COVID and the surge in mail-in ballots disrupted that effort.

Now, Wired reports that Jim Himes has been privately whipping Democratic votes to support renewing key Palantir Technologies surveillance authorities under Section 702 of Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, arguing he has seen no evidence that Kash Patel or the FBI are abusing those powers.¹⁵

What are we even doing right now? Why are any Democrats on board with Palantir’s surveillance state?

And who is funding Rep. Himes? His campaign contribution list reads like a who’s who of the Epstein files.¹⁶

The release of those files brings together a network of bad actors with an aligned agenda: Russian operatives, Jeffrey Epstein, Peter Thiel, Jeff Giesea, Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Bannon, Mike Flynn, Tom Barrack, Erik Prince, Paul Manafort, Roger Stone, Donald Trump, Donald Trump Jr., and others—all conspiring together in the lead-up to the 2016 election.¹⁷

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, rest his soul, was right. Russia, Russia, Russia.

The Age of Electronic Election Manipulation

2000 — The GOP orchestrated the hanging chad debacle to distract from six million missing votes.¹⁸ Florida’s secretary of state was Bush’s campaign manager¹⁹—and Democrats let a stolen election slide.

2001 — Caltech and MIT published a study documenting the loss of six million votes in the 2000 election.²⁰

2002 — Bush rewarded election equipment companies with HAVA, handing states billions to implement their technology.²¹

2004 — Dr. Walter Mebane Jr. published “The Wrong Man Is President!” just prior to the 2004 election.²²

2004 — Diebold CEO Walden O’Dell promised to deliver a victory to Bush.²³ Ohio’s Secretary of State, Kenneth Blackwell, was Bush’s reelection co-chair²⁴—and Democrats let another stolen election slide. Marc Elias was lead counsel for Kerry’s campaign.²⁵

2016 — Epstein, Peter Thiel, et al., colluded with Russia to steal the election for Trump.²⁶ Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by nearly 3 million votes, and the Electoral College margin was just 77,000 ballots. Election experts informed the Clinton campaign of manipulation in at least three swing states.²⁷ Marc Elias was lead counsel²⁵—and Democrats walked away.

2024 — Add Elon Musk, and the result was 2016 on steroids. The swing-state data was so statistically improbable²⁸ and the equipment so vulnerable, that multiple election integrity and computer science experts sent Duty to Warn letters to the Harris campaign.²⁹ Marc Elias again served as counsel.²⁵

Blatant, in-our-face GOP thuggery—and Democrats did nothing.

In 2024, watching Kamala Harris’s vote totals drop by millions across swing states on Election Night sent our team on a year-long investigation into why reported totals were moving backward.

There is no legitimate reason for millions of votes to disappear on Election Night—for any candidate.

That investigation uncovered five fake “ghost” counties containing millions of votes³⁰—and showed, using simple math, that Florida relied on a fake county vote bank in 2024, as detailed in this article:

First, thank you for reading and circulating these articles. Our audience has grown exponentially, and more people are beginning to confront both the data and their own instincts about U.S. elections. It’s finally becoming clear to Americans that something is not a “conspiracy theory” when it proves to be true.

Elections Have Been Rigged for Decades. Now What?

The research and articles are embedded and indexed throughout this piece. We are imploring you—MeidasTouch Network and the media—to read them and report on them.

As Wajahat Ali said, we need “the fear of God” to get Democrats on track. We would argue we need more than that—because it is naïve to believe elections are going to save us.

Trump and Musk stole the 2024 election to keep themselves—and Trump’s wealthy, pedophile “friends” named in the Epstein files—out of prison. Democrats allowed it because they function as controlled opposition. And as we’ve learned, many of those pedophiles are also major campaign donors to both sides of the aisle.

In 2026, the stakes are even higher. Donald Trump, Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, et al.—and the administration itself—face legal consequences. Many tied to the Epstein files have already been identified. As long as Trump remains in power, they will continue to escape accountability.

Do we really believe they won’t do everything possible to steal the midterms?

They have already begun. In Fulton County, Trump’s DOJ illegally seized ballots.³¹ Weeks later, Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco seized more than 650,000 ballots in what appears to be a baseless investigation.³²

Why?

To help Elon Musk and DOGE build what they’re calling a “database”—but we know it’s their 2026 vote bank.³³

That’s why they’re targeting heavily blue areas: they lack 2024 data from those voters because they didn’t sign up for Musk’s data-harvesting platform, the “America PAC.” Remember, his website didn’t register a single voter—it just collected their data.

Fulton County is crucial to Senator Jon Ossoff’s (D-GA) reelection—and Trump is desperate to maintain control of the Senate.

All things considered, who do we really think will win this face-off?

This method of election interference is similar to what we previously documented in the 2004 election: the GOP’s use of a “mirror site” for Ohio votes.³⁴

2004 is an outlier: action was taken when attorney Cliff Arnebeck opened an investigation targeting Karl Rove. Michael Connell, a GOP computer specialist and key witness, received threats, and protection was requested.³⁵

He died in a plane crash before he could testify.

His plane ran out of fuel.³⁶

Experts warn that authoritarians do whatever it takes to stay in power—including manipulating elections. When leaders like Vladimir Putin or Nicolás Maduro are accused of rigging results, analysts point to anomalous data patterns and blocked audits as evidence—yet we don’t apply those same standards to U.S. elections.

Even worse, we remain silent about it.

Get The Papers, Get The Papers

Speaking of silence, Pennsylvania did not “get the papers.” As previously reported, the 2024 election in Pennsylvania was rife with abnormalities: 13,401 uncounted ballots in Centre County; more than 30 bomb threats; breaks in ballot chain of custody; malfunctioning tabulators and equipment “glitches”; 225,000 votes identified by Dr. Walter Mebane Jr. as statistically anomalous; and 30% of counties reporting equipment errors.

In at least one county, voting equipment was never properly tested or certified—yet it was still used, leaving a paper trail.

Election Systems & Software was made aware of the oversight, and it was fraudulently approved by Maryann Dillon, the now-retired Director of Elections in Cambria County, Pennsylvania.

Secretary of the Commonwealth, Al Schmidt, blocked a 45,000-citizen-requested audit and is now attempting to dismiss the ETA’s lawsuit seeking a third-party hand-count audit.

Keep in mind, this is only what we uncovered in front of the curtain. Who knows how much worse the reality of Pennsylvania’s farcical election—where Elon Musk focused so much effort on those “vote-counting computers”—really was?

225,000 statistically anomalous ballots.

Nothing to see here, right Josh Shapiro?

Our point: If state attorneys general do not open investigations—into Trump, Musk, the DOGE network, Thiel, ES&S, Dominion, Pro V&V, SLI, and DDHQ—now, before the midterms, we will wake up the morning after and find ourselves right back where we were on the morning of November 6, 2024.

And once again, Democrats will do nothing.

Consider this: the GOP has not had a legitimately elected president since Dwight D. Eisenhower. Richard Nixon colluded with South Vietnam,³⁷ Ronald Reagan with Iran,³⁸ and George H. W. Bush was only in office on Reagan’s coattails. As we’ve demonstrated, George W. Bush and Donald Trump benefited from electronic interference enabled by far-right-owned election equipment companies—introduced in the late 1990s and expanded in 2002 by Bush.

Thom Hartmann would back us up on that statement, and Democrats have done nothing to effectively challenge any of it.

Controlled opposition is the strategy.

If the Epstein files have taught us anything it’s that conspiracies are real. We wonder how many times Sarah Kendzior thinks, “I told you so,” in the course of a day. The same could be said for Seth Abramson and Craig Unger.

Meanwhile, those of us working in election integrity continue to sound the alarm—hoping, even praying, that investigations are opened and bad actors removed before November, so we don’t have to say those words ourselves.

Five administrations of Epstein-related prosecutorial failures,³⁹ rampant white-collar crime left unpunished—looking at you, Rick Scott⁴⁰—and more than twenty-five years of election interference. U.S. democracy—and the Department of Justice—have functioned as a façade for decades.

Conspiracies are real.

Now, before we lose our republic, it is time to demand something different. Many scholars would argue we are already past the tipping point—beyond the moment that led our forefathers to dump tea into Boston Harbor.

If it seems we’re being harsh on Democrats, that’s an accurate read. We know this article isn’t going to make people angry enough to vote for Republicans in November—that’s absurd. But perhaps it will make them angry enough to start calling their state-level elected officials. Because we’re in a moment that calls for action.

And frankly, we’re tired of the “blame Republicans” and “if only they’d do the right thing” dialogue. Reagan-era Republicans and MAGA are ruthless and devoid of conscience. Attempting to appeal to their better angels is a foregone conclusion—they don’t have any.

We are also here, in part, because Donald Trump is ratings gold. It may be the gold flaking off his infamously gaudy commodes, but journalists have been all too eager to race to Mar-a-Lago to kiss the ring.

Beginning in 2015, the mainstream media chose to capitalize on the chaos surrounding Donald Trump instead of covering him for what he is: a racist, adjudicated sexual deviant and predator, Russian asset, serially failed businessman, and lifelong grifter.

Let’s not make that mistake twice. We need more than cortisol-inducing outrage reporting. The American people deserve the truth.

Joy-Ann Reid, Jim Acosta, Don Lemon, Heather Cox Richardson, I’ve Had It, THE LEFT HOOK with Wajahat Ali, Christopher Armitage, Glenn Kirschner, and Brian Tyler Cohen—we need help shining a light on the history of election interference and stolen elections, to normalize the conversation and bring it into mainstream dialogue.

For the MeidasTouch Network and media: you have over six million subscribers on one platform. Please, for the love of all that is holy, do your job. This effort requires millions of Americans demanding state-level investigations—and this little “Substack that could” isn’t reaching enough of them.

We have constitutional avenues to remove this entire illegitimate administration—or we continue doing nothing and risk a revolution.

And this one wouldn’t involve tea or harbors.

We don’t need permission to enforce the Constitution; we just need courage. In the words of the incomparable Justice Sonia Sotomayor: “With fear for our democracy,” thank you for reading.
