Jasmine Crockett: Dominion voting machines has been bought by Liberty, which is owned by a Trump Associate

COMMENT: Dominion has been sold to a Trump associate.  Hand counts are essential to verify Trump's vote count! Most counties in New York use the Dominion Voting Machines,  our familiar scanners that count  paper ballots. The computer generated results are almost never verified by hand counts adequate to confirm the vote count.

Tell your legislators to pass Count Every Vote Act of NY (CEVA): S417  /. A4307  to get hand counts in close races.

Enacts the "Count Every Vote Act of New York" which amends the procedure for the recanvass of votes in election districts; defines margin of victory for the purpose of triggering a hand recount of ballots.

But I disagree with Crockett about getting rid of Dominion. All computerized vote counting is subject to failure. The solution is hand counts sufficient to verify and correct error or fraud, whichever voting system is used.

The other major vendor in New York is ES&S Voting Systems, which has  undisclosed ownership with links to partisan actors. Election Systems & Software, Inc. (ES&S) is owned by M-One Capital, previously known as the McCarthy Group, with undisclosed investors. Their Expressvote XL, which was recently certified in New York, does not use hand marked paper ballots at all, so there is nothing to verify the computerized count.

Tell your legislators to support VIVA NY A6287 / S7116 Voting Integrity and Verification Act of NY: to protect our right to mark our own ballots by hand.

Allegra Dengler.

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) said Monday that Dominion Voting Systems ― yes, the same company that Donald Trump and conservatives falsely accused of stealing votes from him in 2020 ― could potentially cheat against Democrats in the 2026 midterms. (Watch the video below.)

On the “Defending Democracy” podcast posted Monday, Crockett pointed to last month’s purchase of Dominion by GOP ex-election official Scott Leiendecker, who rebranded it as Liberty Vote.

Crockett said Leiendecker is a friend of Trump and could possibly lead a mass rigging of votes in the 2026 races. The Texas Democrat told host Marc Elias that secretaries of state should be “educated” not to purchase Dominion machines.

“I personally believe that that ally purchased Dominion so that he could potentially play with the machines,” Crockett said. “Because we know that they’re trying to cheat by changing the lines for the midterms, and I think that they’re trying to solidify their cheat potentially with the voting machines.”

She did not cite evidence for her claims.

Liberty Vote did not immediately respond to a HuffPost request for comment.
